Preschool Open House

Last night, Ella's preschool had an Open House evening for families to visit the kids' classrooms and see what projects they have been working on. Ella was excited to show us her room and give us a tour of everything. We were glad to see how much fun she's been having and how organized and caring the teachers are.

showing us the apple that she decorated
(Story behind this:
Ella told her teachers that she wanted it to be a pumpkin, instead. So, hers looked very different from the rest of the kids'--she made 2 eyes and had made a smile shape out of glue for the mouth, but then decided to try to fill in the whole circle with the red paper. She didn't have enough time to finish, she said.)

showing Rob how she counts the number of the day near the calendar

another project--I like how she drew on the mouth
(Ella was excited about the googly eyes)

Ella's photo for the achievement wall---
When she learns a new skill (e.g., buttoning, zipping, writing, cutting), a cut-out icon gets attached next to their name and photo on the wall....I think this picture must have been taken when she was finger painting on the first day of school.

"This is how I sit at my spot at the table....See?"

posing with "Baby Anna" from our playgroup--
Ella told us this was her favorite part of the evening--
"...when I got to talk to Baby Anna at the end."

  2. Ella really fits in to pre-school. You can see how much fun she is having. We all know how proud Mommy and Daddy are and they should be with such a wonderful little girl.
