One Family's Trash is Another Family's Treasure!

This weekend we were able to hit up lots of local yard sales. Ella rode in her stroller and walked, while Rob and I checked out the deals. We spent about $20 dollars total and found some good "treasures." We purchased 2 booster seats for the grandparents' houses, an Elmo DVD, a Parent's drumset with instruments, a Graco kid-sized stroller for pushing around Pinkie, a grocery cart, and a Home Depot kids' tool box with tools.

It was nice to be out and about in the neighborhood. Rob was able to catch up with some of his old neighbors, as one of the block-wide sales was on his old street. Ella ate a pretzel that some kids were selling and she even signed with a Deaf woman. Ella signed that she was drinking milk and the lady signed that Ella was beautiful.

Ella did a great job walking back home, although there were definitely lots of distractions along the way....she looked for wormies, picked flowers (and collected them in her stroller, and jumped on the sidewalk. She's been saying many more sentences lately and would have little conversations with us along the way. We had a fun time finding other people's trash and making it our treasure!

Which way are the best deals?

Ella wanted to sit in her new booster seat,
so Rob carried her the rest of the way home in it
