Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Ella and me

Mommy/daughter photo
(Ella exhausted from my camera obsession)

I felt soft little, wet lips kissing my mouth and heard a small raspy voice saying, "Morning, mommy!" When I opened up my eyes, I saw a smiley face with crazy, blond hair and wide blue eyes only an inch from mine. That's one of the best things about being a mom, and a great way to start Mother's Day!

Rob took Ella downstairs so I could sleep in (2 extra hours!!) and they made me breakfast in bed--a roasted red pepper omlette, whoopie pie, a drink, and, from Ella, a slice of pizza (pretend from her kitchen). Rob brought his breakfast upstairs and Ella ate goldfish crackers from the bag while we watched a cooking show (for me) and then Curious George (for Ella and Rob).

Daddy/daughter time

We went to 9:00 Mass and Ella was so well behaved. She wore her cute dress from Nanny and "H" from England and her white shoes from Great Gram. She did a lot of coloring, reading the missel and looking for the pictures of angels, and singing (loudly, but very seriously). We went to the social afterward and Ella ate a brownie and juice. She has been so polite today, saying 'please and thank you' and even saying 'no, thank you' without being prompted.

Right now I am relaxing with my coffee as Rob changed Ella into her play clothes and took her to the playground to give me a little time to myself. Later we'll head to Uncle Bill's for dinner.

I just love all these pictures of Ella and you as well as Ella and Rob. That picture of Ella waiting to leave for Mass is really something (just love that). I just love that you took the time to make a blog. I know it makes my day. I check it everyday! What "great" parents Ella has. Great pictures, plus great captions.
