Magic Mornings

Molly attended her second "Magic Mornings" program at Briar Bush Nature Center a few weeks ago.  The theme was "Shapes in Nature," so the kids did a shape activity, heard a story, made a turtle out of shapes, and went on a Shape Hunt along the walking trail.  She loved her "camp" this time, too.  Her only disappointment was that they didn't paint like the first time.

 snack time

her turtle project

 gluing on the tail

 adding on the pieces

 coloring her turtle

Molly said she colored the toes red because "my turtle has nailpolish!"
Notice she concentrates like her mama---tongue out :)

a heart we found in nature---on the end of an old log

Molly holding an earthworm she found on the ground

She wasn't afraid at all, and was telling the worm to please crawl up her arm

 "Hi, Little Guy!"

 running down the trail

searching for the heart shaped leaves

the little tortoise we got to pet

 peeking at him

watching the hissing cockroaches eat their kiwi lunch

 a beautiful butterfly

 Ms. Tortellini--one of Molly's favorites

a caterpillar we found outside on the bridge

 touching him

 "Aww---He's soooo cute and fuzzy!"

 a few blooms left

 playing in the water

another type of caterpillar we found

 so proud

 Magic Morning buddies

Love her!
