Monday was one of our last official playgroup dates :( Our playgroup formed from some of the moms in our MOMS Club of Abington when our babies were a couple of months old. We've been meeting weekly for the past 4 years, so the kids have really grown up together. It has been such a blessing for me to have found this wonderful group of women who are now my friends and partners in mommyhood. I had such a difficult time transitioning to my new role as stay-at-home-mom, but our playgroup dates and the conversations that I had with the moms who were experiencing the same challenges as I was something that helped me through.
All of our "babies" are going to be going to preschool in a few weeks and our schedules will be difficult to mesh for a regular playgroup date. But, we are going to make it a point to try to get together for lunches or afternoon play times so the kids can see each other...okay, really, so the moms can catch up, too!

this is so exciting to see how the sweet little ones are now holding their brothers or sisters...
ReplyDeleteyou women are surely a role model for your children and the importance of keeping good friendships alive.
oh jen, this post almost made me cry. i almost lost it when seeing baby xander and ella together. i love you and cherish our friendship. i am sad to see this "part" of our lives end but excited for new ventures too - need some molly/keegan playdates while siblings are in school! viv
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures of the playgroup and those that have younger brother's or sisters. Friendship is truly a great thing and you can see that you don't take it likely. Of course, as I said before Rob and you are role models.
