Pennypack Park with Liam

A few weeks ago, my friend Cynthia and I were trying to think of something to do with our kids on another hot, humid, summer day. We decided on a "hike" at the Pine Road entrance of Pennypack Park since most of the trail there is shaded, and, more importantly, the kids love to cool off in the creek at the half-way point.

Ella and her buddy, Liam, enjoyed collecting interesting things along the way, like sticks, berries, mushrooms, and leaves. They spent an hour navigating the rocks in the very shallow creek and had so much fun splashing the rocks into the water.

  1. What beautiful pictures. You can tell she likes to hike just like the rest of the family. I love that face on Ella with her bucket just before you started the hike. I truly like all the pictures but I just love that look on the first one.
