Random around the house

July has been a really busy, hot month for us (did I remember to say, hot?). We've been on vacations, visited and hosted family from England, and been on the move every day. We had a good time, but are also looking forward to a more relaxed, cooler (even 90 degrees would be nice!) August.

Here are a few random pictures from the past month:

Rob trying to inflate Ella's pool at 9:30 at night when it was still about 90 degrees--what a good dad!

a drenched Ella after playing in a rain storm
(don't worry, no lightning)

two best buddies lounging together before bedtime

Ella's first "2's" written in chalk on the porch
(kind of hard to see...there are two of them next to each other)

cutting flowers
(She spent about 20 minutes humming and cutting flowers, petals, and leaves with her kid scissors from Baba and Pappy)

check out Ella's princess shoes
(They are so fashionable with an Elmo jammie top and Elmo undies!)

up close view of the shoes---
check out those toes gripping on, the leg bruises, and her calves!

our pantry letter project
(Ella wrote a "T" and then covered it with macaroni. Then we found pictures in a magazine that started with that letter to glue onto the page).
