Pennsylvania Farm Show

On Monday, Ella and I went to Harrisburg to celebrate my dad's birthday and to go to the Farm Show. We have gone nearly every year since my brother and I were little and this was Ella's third year going.

Before we went, we asked Ella which animals she wanted to see. Her response was, "elephants, alligators, and bears." We hoped she would not be disappointed (and I realized I might need to work on teaching Ella which animals lived on farms). Although we didn't see any elephants, alligators, or bears, we did get to see horses, cows, ostriches, bunnies, chicks, llamas, chickens, goats, and lambs.

Ella's favorite parts of the Farm Show this year were:
  • riding a school bus from the parking lot to the complex (I think she also enjoyed not having to sit in her car seat for this ride)
  • watching the baby chicks hatch from their eggs in the warmers
  • petting the bunnies
  • sitting on the farm equipment and outdoor vehicles
  • playing in the corn bins and wood pellet "sandboxes"
  • eating french fries with ketchup
  • hanging out with her friend, Pappy

  1. ella looked like she had the most fun looking at the hatching chicks...and of course riding on the monster machines..look out she may be trying to get behind your wheel real soon.

  3. Ella looks like she had a really great time with Pappy and Mommy. I am sure Pappy really enjoyed his time with most of his favorite girls. What I mean, we cannot forget "Marylou" his wife! Right? Jennifer, I cannot tell you how much I feel connected received these pictures of our family and how happy they make me. "Thanks".
