"Ella's" New Bathtub

When we moved into our house, the second floor bathroom tub/shower had large sliding doors, and old tile and grout. We have been wanting to upgrade that area and finally had 2DaysBath come last week to redo it.

Here are some before, during, and after pictures of the space. The reason I called this post "Ella's" New Bathtub is because we had this conversation:

Me: Ella, what do you think of our new bathroom?
Ella: It's sooo pretty!....It's Ella's new bathtub, no your's Mommy.
Me: This is your bathroom?
Ella: Yep! and Daddy's bathroom's downstairs.
Me: Where's my bathroom, then?
Ella: You don't have one, Mommy....that's okay...you can share with Ella!

So, here are some pictures of "Ella's" bathroom:

BEFORE THE RENOVATION:
(ulgh, please try to ignore the grossness!)

black and white tiles, old grout

some tiles fell off when the shower doors were removed and
that kind is no longer made

leaky, old fixtures and discolored tub/tiles

last look!

DURING THE RENOVATION:

Ella looking at the hole "the man" made by sawing through the tile and wall

pipes behind the fixtures

old walls covered with butal tape and pieces of material to level out the surface

covering up the hole and turning a 2 facet system into 1

AFTER THE RENOVATION:

whew--new, shiny, and CLEAN!!

single facet and shower head

corner shelf that fits lots of soaps and shampoos

  2. What a difference. Ella probably never wants to get out of Ella's bath tub. I know Ella said she will share her bath tub with Mommy, I hope she does.
