Date Night at the Beach

Last night, Ella had a sleepover at Nana and Granddad's house and Rob and I had date night. We decided at the last minute to drive to Belmar Beach (only an hour away) for dinner. We don't often do things spur of the moment anymore, nor do we just take leisurely drives with a toddler who hates her car seat. So, we thought we'd take the opportunity to roll down the windows and take a road trip to the beach.

We ate at Klein's Fish Market and Restaurant (very yummy!), walked on the beach (very chilly!), and got ice cream to eat on the way home. This morning Rob treated me to breakfast at Panera and a visit to the Glenside Farmer's Market, where we got asparagus for roasting and a potted cilantro plant for me to grow. What a great start to the weekend!
