Since we won't be getting back home on Christmas Eve until "late," we decided to leave out Santa's note and snacks today (minus the milk) to be prepared. Ella's had her letter to Santa ready for a while, so we added some cookies and a carrot next to the tree. Ella was insistent that we open the gift that she got for Rob and me early so we could use it.....it was a Christmas plate that she made at school. She was excited for us to be able to put Santa's cookies on it this year.
We got our picture taken with Santa at the Bass Pro Shop last weekend and the girls were excited at all of the activities there--toy trains and cars, carousel rides, crafts, and, of course, the giant fish aquarium. (I'll have to post that picture when I have time to scan it in). We also used a website, Portable North Pole, to make a personalized video for Ella, which you can view here.

I love this recording. I thought this was wonderful the way it was done. I am sure that Sanat a Rudolph enjoyed the cookies, carrot and milk.
