Flora

Here are a few pictures from June from our garden.  This year we planted: tomatoes (grape and Roma), green and orange bell peppers, cantelope, basil, lettuce (Bibb and Romaine), cilantro (and chives that came up on their own from last year).  On Sunday, we ate our first few grape tomatoes (yum), have been using the lettuce for salads, use the cilantro for homemade salsa (this is THE best recipe) and in tacos, and just made three big batches of pesto using our basil.  We are thinking of expanding the garden next summer to make more room for our expanding plants.  Rob took time this year to put down a black weed mat, which I would highly recommend as we have only had to pull about 4 weeds out of the entire garden so far this season.
