Ella-- 3 1/2 years old

Sunday, March 6th was Ella's 3 1/2 year old birthday. We can't believe that it has been that long since she was born. Here are some facts about her:

Foods She Loves:
-anything cheese related (macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, pizza, broccoli cheddar soup)
-anything chocolate (brownies, cupcakes, Oreo's)
-veggies: carrots, celery, peas, corn
-fruit: bananas, apples, clementines, grapes, blueberries
-soy "chicken" nuggets
-fish nuggets
-soft pretzels
-veggie booty, Ritz crackers, goldfish crackers
-roasted red pepper hummus with pretzels or carrots
-pancakes and waffles, and chocolate chip bagels


Things She Likes to Play:
-puzzles
-sequencing, opposites, and rhyming card games
-coloring and drawing with crayons and markers
-making crafts that involve cutting and glue
-tag
-hide and go seek
-ball games like t-ball and soccer
-anything with Rob (according to Ella, "He's just so much fun!")
-play-doh
-Matchbox cars and her racetrack
-"reading" books
-exploring outside and collecting things
-riding her bike
-sticker books
-building with Lego blocks
-dancing to music

Books She Likes:
-Jamberry
-Curious George books
-Dr. Seuss books


Miscellaneous:
-Very independent (likes to do and try everything by herself), but also very social and loves to talk all day long
-uses her manners almost all of the time without any prompting
-gets dressed, teeth brushed, pottied all by herself
-loves her preschool and learning
-has recently started trying new foods (thankfully!)
-loves to be helpful around the house (folding laundry, making her bed, cleaning up after her meals)
-thinks about other people
-amazingly funny sense of humor for someone her age (gets that from Rob)
-contagious smile and laugh
-recites nighttime prayers and has started going to "church school" on Sundays


We are so blessed to have been given such a wonderful, caring little girl to raise. Every day she amazes us with what she can do and who she is becoming!

  1. Ella: Happy 3 1/2 year old Birthday. "I love Chocolate Chip Bagels to. Your Mommy and Daddy are right you are really special and independent. Love those pictures. The ones in the your red coat is priceless.

  3. Ella is so very independent....we are so amazed each and every time we see her on what she is comprehending and her language skills...good job jennifer and rob!
    and i have never seen anyone who LOVES chocolate world as much as ella....and i think by now i have memorized each and every song and narrative on that ride!
