Valentines' Day Weekend

This past weekend, we celebrated Valentines' Day. Ella made valentine cards with markers and LOTS of stickers. She got Rob a wooden toy car model kit that they can put together and a card. Rob and I got Ella a Curious George coloring kit, a Sesame Street activity book, and "The Story of Valentine's Day" book, which is part of a series that we really like. We took Rob out to Chili's for dinner on Friday night after work.

On Saturday, we went to see Rob's grandmother, Granny, at her "be-partment" (apartment), as Ella calls it. We brought her Butterfingers (her favorite) and a valentine that Ella made and had lunch with her. Ella's favorite part was jumping on Granny's bed and laughing with her. We had a nice visit.

On Sunday, Valentines' Day, Ella went to Pappy and Baba's for a sleepover and I surprised Rob with a day in the city, dinner, and an overnight at the Penn View Hotel. We visited the Constitution Center, walked around town, had a delicious dinner at Pietro's, and relaxed. We enjoyed our time together. On Monday, after reading the paper and having brunch, we came home. We made our original Valentine's Day meal that evening, which was Cornish hens, veggies, and chocolate souffles.

  4. I just love all the pictures. The one where Ella was making a Valentine Day's Card shows that she was really into what she was doing. I am sure the Rob and you had a great Valentine's Day and of course so did Baba and Pappy. (Who wouldn't being with their #1 Grand-daughter Ella!!! Your dinner looks excellent.
