"C"...cat!

Last night, while Rob and I were getting our shoes on to head out for a walk after dinner, Ella was laying on the floor coloring in her new Sesame Street coloring book. She has been getting more precise about trying to color in specific parts of the pictures, like she will say, "I coloring Elmo's nose," rather than just scribbling haphazardly all over the page.

This time, she called over, "Hey, guys...come here! Come see! 'C,' cat!" She likes to find letters in print, so we thought she was showing us the letter C in the word "Camp," but instead she pointed to a red mark on the page that she had made. Ella said, "I drawed a 'C' for cat! Look, right there!"

So, we think she might have just made a mark and then realized it looked like a letter C, not that she specifically tried to write one intentionally, but either way we were all really excited that she was able to recognize her mark as a letter! She's on her way to writing really good stories! :)

The "C" is on Zoe's arm on the left side of the page

  1. What can we say, Ella is very intelligent. When you take the mix of Daddy, Mommy, Pappy, Baba and Buck what do you expect???? With all those smart family members to look up to, everyone would know she is a success!!!Ella is a very lucky little girl to have such a "great family".
